At the beginning of the pandemic, one of the main challenges was to identify and stop the disease from spreading in the community. Creating a need for a scalable and faster diagnosis.
To this end, countless kit manufacturers started developing different solutions to decrease the time from sample to result and increase the number of tests in a given time.
BGI introduced a new PCR kit to detect COVID-19 to the Israeli ministry of health and health providers.
At the time, the leading supplier of PCR kits provided the full solution – both the PCR kits and the analysis software.
Although BGI is a well-known company in its field and has an impressive track record in the PCR world, it couldn’t deliver a full and elegant solution for COVID-19 testing. The solution BGI provided was lacking analysis software, especially one that will be accepted by the Israeli ministry of health and cyber Authority.
AIDTES was built just for that – providing a scalable, accurate, secure solution that can interpret results using advanced AI and machine learning algorithms.
Following BGI’s local supplier request, we’ve integrated the BGI kit in AIDTES software and achieved a complete end-to-end solution that was approved by the Israeli authorities, and the software was installed in 4 out of the 5 of Israels HMOs, using different PCR instruments in multiple locations.
Following the software development and kit integration, BGI sold more than 3 million tests in Israel, as they could provide the complete solution with AIDTES.
